Providing access to data.gov.ie harvesters
Introduction
This document outlines and gives examples of how to facilitate access to a website for Derilinx harvesters gathering metadata for the national open data portal, data.gov.ie. Three options are available:
- A DCAT endpoint
- An ArcGIS endpoint
- Provide metadata via an API
Examples of their use are outlined below.
DCAT Endpoint, example – data.smartdublin.ie
A CKAN endpoint is provided by data.smartdublin.ie, the Dublin region portal. Metadata for data.smartdublin.ie is located at https://data.smartdublin.ie/dcat.json

ArcGIS Endpoint, example – Roscommon County Council
An ArcGIS endpoint is provided by the Roscommon County Council Open Data Portal. Metadata for data-roscoco.opendata.arcgis.com is located at

API, example Dublinbikes
The Dublinbikes API interface, provides access to the metadata for Dublinbikes.
