======Adding a geospatial resource (file)====== ===== Things to know beforehand ===== * To have a map display on the landing page of your dataset, you need a geospatial file (KML, Geojson etc.) * If you do not have such a file, you can generate one from a CSV file using a converter, eg. https://www.convertcsv.com/csv-to-kml.htm * You need to be logged in to Dublinked to perform any upload or import geodata functions ===== Generating the Graph View on Dublinked ===== * Upload your KML file to your dataset containing the CSV file * Click on your new KML resource * You should see a green "Import GeoData" button - use this to upload the data to the geoserver {{ :publisher:upload_to_geoserver.png?600 |}} * Accept the default value for the EPSG code {{ :publisher:accept_default.png?600 |}} * You should see a message confirming that the resource has been submitted {{:publisher:message_loading.png?900 |}} * Once the data has been loaded to the GeoServer, the map will automatically display on the landing page of the dataset {{ :publisher:landing_page.png?600 |}} * (Optional) you can now style the data. If your dataset is harmonised with one which has already a style attached, [[publisher:copy_styling_from_existing_map|the instructions for how to copy it are here]] {{ :publisher:edit_style.png?600 |}}
